|Upper Chesapeake Chorus is excited to share our new look, or as we like to call it, our Visual Voice.
Our vibrant rebrand includes a colorful and joyful logo design, an informative and easy-to-navigate website, and more engagement with images and videos on our social media.
Why the new UCC?
Sweet Adelines International (SAI) is undergoing a global transformation and Upper Chesapeake Chorus shares their new values and vision.
SAI is working hard to modernize to “create a strong sustainable future” for the organization. They are implementing revised song guidelines, updated costumes, and best practices for diversity and inclusivity. UCC embraces this philosophy and believes creating a new visual voice will not only illustrate this, but also engage new members while fostering diversity, inclusivity, and a sustainable future.
The redesign process was extensive. The chorus hired a professional design and communications firm that not only created a new visual look but helped us learn how to expand our use of social media to share music and photos, engage with the community, book performances, and, importantly, reach new potential members. Funding was possible in part via a grant from Harford County Cultural Arts Board.
With our new rebrand, we hope to reach a wide diversity of women who are interested in learning about A cappella singing and we also look to engage more with our community. UCC performs regularly in and around Harford County, Maryland. Most recently, in December 2022, we were happy to join the holiday “Rejoice!” concert sponsored by the Maryland Center of the Arts. The full chorus and affiliated quartets are available to hire for public and private events. To send an inquiry, visit www.uccsai.com/dbpage.php?pg=

Giving back to our community is important to us! In August 2022, UCC hosted a back-to-school drive collecting school supplies for the Harford County Education Foundation.
“We had a wonderful visit with UCC member and newly retired teacher Linda Brown when she dropped off the amazing donation of school supplies from Upper Chesapeake Chorus. You have helped so many children get excited about learning! Thank you!” – HCEF
Upper Chesapeake Chorus wishes everyone in Harford County a successful school year!! Kudos to all!
|Upper Chesapeake Chorus of Sweet Adelines International knows how to have fun! This weekend we returned to the 80’s while we hosted our singing family from Atlantic Bay-Mountain Region 19, Sweet Adelines International in Harrisburg at our Flash event. There was big hair, neon colors, leg warmers and totally rad singing, too!
We are available for hire to sing for your special event - contact us at LetsSingUCC@gmail.com.
UCC had the privilege of performing for the crowd at an Aberdeen Ironbirds game at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, MD on July 15, 2022. We invited members of the community to attend a few rehearsals in advance, then sign with us that evening. Such fun!
There was lots of excitement backstage at the annual Sweet Adelines International regional competition. We love our 2022 costumes, and think our Director, Tyler Horton, looks great in his tux and emerald green! Thank you Marilyn Lewis and the design committee for these awesome ensembles!
Upper Chesapeake Chorus We were excited to have Jen Williams, Director of Dundalk Star Spangled Chorus and member of Harbor City Music Company Show Chorus, join us to teach choreography for our upcoming performance at the Sweet Adelines International Atlantic Bay-Mountain Region 19, competition in Lancaster, PA in April.
